We're collecting stories of past participants in the form of personal vlogs to inspire the next cohort of ATC, and we are asking you to share yours.
We would like you to record a short 45 - 90 second video on your smartphone (1080p recording quality) iPhone 6 or higher, Samsung Galaxy 8 or higher, Google Pixel, (no phones released before 2015) that includes the following:
Name, occupation, and service background
Choose 1-2 questions from below to talk through in your video: :
What made you want to sign up for Answering The Call? What specifically spoke to you about the program?
What is your favorite, specific memory during your Answering The Call sessions?
What was the most important thing you were able to take away from your ATC sessions?
Why would you recommend ATC to a colleague or fellow service alum?
Did this program push you to become more civically engaged through politics?
Below are some tips and tricks in recording your videos.
Some other points to remembers: Make sure to shoot the video in selfie mode horizontally so you can see your shot and make sure we can see your whole face and some of your upper body (all facial details should be in focus, but the subject’s (your) head should not take up the whole shot). If you have a steady hand, feel free to hold the selfie camera out and shoot the video while holding the phone. If you don’t, we suggest finding somewhere to stabilize the phone or your hand.
Send all videos to Shaquanda (firstname.lastname@example.org)
