Imran Khan is trained in applied urban science and informatics, public policy, education, and biochemistry. He has served in project management roles in federal, state, and local government. From 2013 to 2015, he served as an Empire State Fellow in New York State government. In 2011, he worked as an Education Pioneers fellow in Houston, his hometown. Prior to this, Imran taught high school chemistry, founded a community development non-profit organization, and worked at 3M as a materials scientist. His professional interests and areas of expertise include applied statistics, human-centered design, user experience (UX), and the full slate of predictive analytics (ML) techniques, primarily through the employment of the Python programming language.
