Maxine Davis

Biography

Maxine serves as the Organizing Director for the ACLU-DC. She was previously a Political Consultant working with DC Working Families Party as Lead Field Organizer during the 2022 Primary Election Season, Campaign Manager for Rev. Wendy Hamilton for Congress, and a Summer Fellowship Coordinator for Harriet’s Wildest Dreams.

Maxine has more than a decade of experience in public health and advocacy, with a focus on Black health, maternal and child health, and reproductive and sexual health. Additionally, she is an alumna from American University and Drexel University with a master’s degree in Public Health with a focus in Community Health and Prevention.

As a 4th generation Native Washingtonian, with deep roots in Ward 4, she is passionate about uplifting her community and creating opportunities to produce material and systemic changes. Additionally, she currently serves as the Vice President of D.C. Young Democrats, sits on the Community Advisory Board for the Upper Georgia Avenue Main Street and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In her downtime, you can find Maxine traveling to a new country, trying a new recipe or being creative with the arts.
