Please choose TWO workshops you'd like to partake in during our Saturday programming:
Understanding Your Leadership Compass: Which direction are you in your approach to leadership? The Leadership Compass is a powerful tool for understanding your strengths and weaknesses related to the type of leader you are. Gain a deeper insight into your leadership style and how to work well with others in this engaging session.
Crafting your Public Narrative: Crafting and sharing a powerful message is an essential skill not only for candidates, but for anyone who hopes to engage others to step up to new levels of action and responsibility. In this session, you’ll hone your skills at crafting and delivering a story of self, story of us, and the story of now that connects, engages, and inspires.
Charting your Political Path: Candidate? Campaign Staffer? Staffer for an elected official? Appointed official? There are multiple paths to deeper involvement in politics, and this is your chance to learn more about which one is right for you. This session is a chance to connect, speed-dating style--with servant leaders who have walked each of these paths. They will field your questions, share their wisdom, and offer guidance to help you find your way in the months ahead.
Asking the Right Questions: Finding our own right questions as we walk our path is a key skill we teach in our Answering the Call program at New Politics Academy, and this session is a chance to hone our skills. We’ll spend some time crafting our own questions with the Question Finding Process, and we’ll have time to explore two of the questions generated by group participants. It’s a chance to explore personally compelling questions in a community with fellow servant leaders walking a similar path.
