Biography

Tiffany L. Brown is a 25-year Educator in the District of Columbia Public Schools. During her tenure in DCPS, she has worked in schools all across the City, servicing students with special needs.  As an educator, she is concerned with ensuring that Equity and Inclusion are at the forefront of meeting the needs of students and families.  Education and advocacy have always been the hallmark of her work.  Because of that, she was asked in 2014 to run for the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner seat for the single-member district, 7B02.  Mrs. Brown is the former Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for 7B02 which encompasses the neighborhoods of Hillcrest, Park Naylor, and Randle Highlands in Southeast Washington, D.C.  In this work, former Commissioner Brown worked day in and day out to improve the lives of her constituents.  She previously served as the Chairwoman of ANC 7B. 

In addition, Mrs. Brown serves as the 2nd Vice-Chair of the Ward 7 Democrats, a political organization.  Mrs. Brown also serves on the following Boards, Skyland Taskforce, Co-Chair, Pennsylvania Avenue East Main Street Advisory Board, New Hospital at St. Elizabeths & Health System Community Advisory Council, and the William O. Lockridge Community Foundation.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Howard University, a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Trinity College, and is pursuing an additional Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
