Foundations Facilitators

Our expert facilitators are servant leaders whose backgrounds span the political arena – running for office, building campaigns, leading organizations, and doing the frontline work. They bring that lived experience to every session.

Hannah LeGris

An AmeriCorps alum and three-time elected City Council member, Hannah is passionate about helping servant leaders take the next step on their service journey. She now serves as Access and Engagement Officer for the City's Chief Administrative Office. She is an author and has worked in counseling, admissions, and civic engagement at the University of Kentucky.

Lucy Arthur-Paratley

Lucy is the Managing Director of Programs at New Politics Academy. An AmeriCorps and Answering the Call alum, she first volunteered for a campaign in middle school — making phone calls from the floor of the county party headquarters. Her middle school students later inspired her to get back into politics. Since then, she's worked on races from city council to president.

Marita Garrett

Marita is the Founder and President of CIVICALLY, Inc., a nonprofit driving community and economic revitalization in Wilkinsburg, where she served as Mayor. Recognized with the Governor's Award for Local Government Excellence, she has led initiatives in civic engagement, health, and urban development while also an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh.

Kevin Deibler

Kevin is the Executive Officer to the Commander, Air Force Reserve Command. Throughout his nearly 22-year career, Kevin has been a Commander, Aide-de-Camp, Legislative Fellow, National Security Fellow, and led in a variety of cyberspace and combat rescue positions, with combat deployments in Libya and Afghanistan. Kevin strives to be a lifelong learner and a servant leader who always puts people before politics.
