Key definitions

Rolodexing

Going through your entire network—everyone you know—to identify who you will ask for help from donating money, hosting events, providing introductions, raising money for you, to providing other forms of financial support to your campaign

Target Ask Amount

Big educated guess of how much money you think they can give to the campaign. This amount is specifically selected in relation to the maximum amount an individual donor is legally allowed to contribute. For some down ballot races that amount can be as low as $400-$1K. Putting together a long list of as many who can max contribute is the place to start.
